Our mission has always been to preserve and reinvigorate the classic American craft of pie-baking. Now we are lucky that we have found kindred spirits in the Westside shop Preserving Place. As you can guess, they are equally committed to traditional foodways. They are the preeminent resource for "putting up," that is: preserving, canning, and maximizing today's harvest for enjoyment tomorrow.
This Wednesday they have invited us into their kitchen to share the art of pie. We are excited to announce that we will be teaching a from-scratch 2-hour class on strawberry handpies and mini quiches, two customizable recipes that you will carry with you the rest of your life.
Classes are just $70 and include complimentary crackers & preserves, light wine, and of course, two pies to take home. For a limited time (March 9) they are offering "Bring a friend for free" special enrollment.
